Dr.G.P.Ramesh is a distinguished academician, visionary technologist and ambitious researcher with over 26 years of multifaceted experience spanning higher education, advanced research and industry leadership. His career reflects a seamless integration of academic excellence and technological innovation, positioning him as a transformative force in engineering education and applied research. A dynamic leader and passionate educator, Dr.G.P.Ramesh has served as Professor and Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering at prestigious institutions across India and abroad. He has mentored undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral scholars, successfully guiding Twenty-Two Ph.D. candidates and nurturing a culture of inquiry and excellence. His academic expertise encompasses artificial intelligence, machine learning, embedded systems, VLSI design and antenna technologies. With more than 125 publications in Scopus-indexed journals, his scholarly influence is evidenced by an H-index of 32 and an i10-index of 70, marking him as a prominent contributor to global research discourse. He has also organized Twelve International and Six National conferences, publishing proceedings with Springer and ensuring global visibility through Scopus and Web of Science. A pioneer in Outcome-Based Education and a strategic advisor for NAAC, NBA and Autonomous frameworks, Dr.G.P.Ramesh continues to shape future-ready engineers and scalable, tech-driven solutions for India and beyond.
Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Nasir Mohd Desa is a distinguished academic and researcher in health sciences at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Arizona, USA, followed by a Master of Medical Science and a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He has held several leadership roles at UPM, including Head of the Laboratory for Halal Science Research, Head of the Department of Biomedical Science, and Director of the Halal Products Research Institute. Currently, he serves as a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM, where he is actively involved in teaching and research in medical microbiology. Professor Mohd Nasir has established extensive interdisciplinary collaborations, contributing to a substantial body of work that integrates microbiology, biotechnology, and Halal science. He is also a registered Professional Technologist (Ts.) in biotechnology with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), where he serves as a member of the Technology and Technical Working Group. His research focuses on the molecular epidemiology of medically important bacteria within the One Health framework, employing DNA-based technologies for genotypic characterization and traceability studies. Throughout his career, he has made substantial contributions to the scientific community through numerous publications, advancing knowledge with practical applications in public health, Halal product verification, and active engagement with both community and industry.
Ts. Dr. Mohd Nazri bin Abdul Rahman is an academic and researcher in the fields of food science, nutrition, and health sciences, with multidisciplinary training spanning food technology, nutritional biochemistry, and clinical health sciences. He is a registered Nutritionist with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) and holds a valid Annual Practising Certificate. In addition, he is professionally registered as a Professional Technologist (Food Technology) with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and as a Medical Assistant with the Board of Medical Assistants Malaysia. His research focuses on the health effects of bioactive compounds and functional foods, particularly the modulation of adipogenesis and metabolic pathways by carotenoid-rich extracts such as gac aril, as well as the potential anti- obesity and anti-diabetic properties of fermented functional beverages including kombucha, mead/jun, and tepache. His work integrates molecular mechanisms with nutrition and public health relevance, aiming to support evidence-based dietary strategies for the prevention and management of metabolic disorders. He is actively involved in teaching, postgraduate supervision, research, and academic service.
Muhamad Firdaus Syahmi bin Sam-On is a dedicated and accomplished Senior Lecturer specializing in Microbiology, with a profound passion for research and academic excellence. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 2020 and subsequently finished a PhD in the same field from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2023. Additionally, his expertise in farming and biotechnology has equipped him with valuable skills in pests and pathogens management, laboratory protocols, and problem-solving. Throughout his academic journey, Muhamad Firdaus Syahmi has exhibited a keen interest in exploring microbial pathogens and their potential applications in various fields, particularly in aquaculture and food safety. His doctoral research focused on evaluating the efficacy of Bacillus spp. as probiotics against pathogens causing Vibriosis and Aeromonosis, which culminated in several high- impact publications in esteemed journals like Microbial Pathogenesis and Food Bioscience. Serving as a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Muhamad Firdaus Syahmi continues to improve his passion for teaching and research. His interdisciplinary approach and innovative methodologies have earned him recognition in the field of microbiology, and his target is to make a lasting impact on scientific knowledge and understanding. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Rohi Ghazali is a Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Biomedical Science Programme, Centre for Toxicology and Health Risk Studies (CORE), Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His current research focuses on cancer chemoprevention, particularly exploring the therapeutic potential of pterostilbene and other natural products with bioactive compounds. In addition, he is actively involved in collaborative research with Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) on the toxicological profiling of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), contributing to national efforts in public health and safety. Prof. Dr. Ahmad also serves as an expert panel member for the CODEX Food Additive Committee and speaker for the International Food Safety Training Centre (IFSTC) under the Ministry of Health Malaysia, and the Genetically Modified Advisory Committee (GMAC) under the Biosafety Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Malaysia. His work bridges academic research, public health policy, and regulatory frameworks, aiming to address emerging toxicological and pharmacological challenges.
Vintila Iuliana is actually Associate Professor, PhD in Food Science and Engineering. She is author of 23 books and book chapters in international and national publishing houses (Elsevier, Wiley, Lambert, etc.), first author and co-author for 19 articles in ISI journals and relevant ISI proceedings, 107 BDI scientific papers indexed in recognized international databases, articles presented in national & international conferences and published articles revues. Also, she is member of prestigious international organization such European Federation of Food Science and Technology (2009), Co-Chair (since 2013) and Chair (since 2022) of Nutrition WG in Global Harmonization Initiative, International Society of Food Engineering (2010), Balkan Environmental Association (2008), Global Environmental Standard (GES) Community of Interest (2011), European Academy for Education and Social Research (2012). She acts as International projects Expert for European Science Foundation, Eurostar Program, EC « Expert area in the Participant Portal » and « Connecting Europe Facility », Horizon Europe Program, EU TAIEX, COST, EACEA, Erasmus Mundus (2010). Professor Dr. Shahrim Karim is a distinguished figure in Malaysian Heritage, holding the prestigious position of Professor of Malaysian Heritage Food and Culture at the Department of Food Service Management within the Faculty of Food Science and Technology at Universiti Putra Malaysia. With a profound passion for Malaysian culinary traditions, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the recognition and global dissemination of Malaysia's rich heritage cuisine. His significant contributions extend beyond academia, as he has actively participated in national committees dedicated to preserving and promoting Malaysia's food heritage. Through his efforts, he has been instrumental in documenting and refining the nation's culinary heritage, ensuring its perpetuation for future generations. Professor Dr. Shahrim Karim's influence transcends academic circles, as he has been a prominent figure in various television programs that showcase Malaysia's vibrant food scene. Moreover, he is a prolific author, having authored more than 100 articles and five books on Malaysian cuisine, emphasising traditional culinary delights. He also has published several publications on Malaysia and Brunei rich biodiversity, related to herbs and spices. In addition to his academic pursuits and advocacy work, Professor Dr. Shahrim maintains a diverse range of research interests, encompassing Destination Management, Culinary, Foodservice Management, Food Tourism, Food Culture, and Heritage Food. His research methodologies span both quantitative and qualitative approaches, reflecting his comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Beyond his professional endeavours, Professor Dr. Shahrim indulges in his passions during his leisure time, which include cooking, traveling for culinary exploration, food photography, and expressing his creativity through canvas painting. His multifaceted interests and unwavering dedication to Malaysia's culinary heritage continue to inspire and enrich the culinary landscape of the nation.
Ts. Dr. Teoh Kok Ban is a Senior Lecturer at the National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN), Universiti Sains Malaysia, and an External Consultant for Shen Jai Education Group and ViTrox College. His scholarly work focuses on higher education, organizational behavior, and human development, with particular emphasis on advancing organizational wellbeing, academic resilience, and professional identity within higher education contexts. He holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior and Development, complemented by Master’s degrees in Statistics and Counseling. This interdisciplinary training enables him to integrate quantitative methodologies with counseling-informed, human-centered approaches in both research and practice. He is a Professional Technologist (Ts.) registered with the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) and a Registered Counselor (K.B.; P.A.) with the Malaysian Board of Counselors. His research interests and contributions span burnout, emotional and behavioral dynamics in academia, and intervention-based approaches to enhancing wellbeing. He has served in editorial and peer-review capacities for indexed international journals in higher education and organizational behavior, contributing to the advancement of scholarly discourse in these fields. As an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, he supports evidence-based capacity building and academic-industry collaboration, translating research insights into professional and institutional development initiatives. Beyond academia, he maintains active engagement in humanitarian service, serving as a Commissioner with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Merit Society Malaysia and as a volunteer counselor with Than Hsiang Mitra Welfare Center Penang, with a focus on mental health and community wellbeing.
