Objective of Session – "Nutrition & Public Health"

Nutrition is a fundamental determinant of health and plays a critical role in preventing and managing public health challenges. This session focuses on malnutrition, obesity, micronutrient deficiencies and diet-related non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and certain cancers. It emphasizes the importance of equitable access to nutritious food and the role of community-based interventions, education and policy frameworks in improving public health outcomes.
The session will bring together nutrition scientists, public health experts, policymakers and practitioners to discuss innovative strategies that integrate science, technology and social equity into nutrition solutions.

Malnutrition & Stunting Prevention: Strategies to combat undernutrition in vulnerable populations, especially children and women.

Obesity & Lifestyle Diseases: Addressing rising rates of obesity and related NCDs through dietary interventions and lifestyle changes.
